Tasks

-Integrate prototypes with SAP environments and relevant data sources where applicable. -The SAP Program Office leads the strategic implementation of SAP S/4HANA across the organization, driving digital transformation and operational excellence. The team partners closely with business units and IT to modernize core enterprise processes, enhance data-driven decision-making, and integrate emerging technologies such as AI and automation. Through cross-functional collaboration and innovation, the SAP Program Office ensures scalable, future-ready solutions that align with organizational goals and industry best practices. -Stay current on emerging AI and automation technologies relevant to enterprise systems and SAP ecosystem. -The AI and Automation Associate will play a key role in identifying, designing, and prototyping automation and artificial intelligence (AI) use cases within the SAP S/4HANA implementation program. The role involves collaborating with business process owners, IT stakeholders, and the SAP project team to analyze end-to-end processes, identify automation or AI opportunities, and build proof-of-concept (POC) solutions using modern automation and AI tools. This is a hands-on role combining process understanding, technical experimentation, and stakeholder engagement to accelerate innovation within the SAP transformation journey. -Validate feasibility and potential business value of proposed solutions. -Document use cases and define measurable business outcomes for AI/automation opportunities. -Develop proof-of-concepts (POCs) and prototypes using AI and automation tools (e.g., SAP BTP, SAP AI Core, UiPath, Power Automate, Python-based AI tools, etc.). -Conduct workshops and demos with business and IT stakeholders to showcase prototypes and gather feedback. -Work closely with SAP functional and business teams to understand key business processes being implemented in S/4HANA (e.g., Finance, Procurement, Supply Chain, Manufacturing). -Support change management and adoption of automation/AI initiatives. -Contribute to internal knowledge sharing, best practices, and innovation pipeline. -Identify potential areas were AI, machine learning (ML), or automation (RPA, workflow, etc.) can enhance process efficiency, accuracy, or user experience. -Collaborate with enterprise architects and data teams to ensure scalability and alignment with the overall SAP transformation roadmap.

What You Bring

-Ability to create basic test beds, create test scenarios, create regression tests, document and assess software reliability. -Curiosity and Innovation Mindset -Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an innovative mindset. -Certification in AI/ML, RPA, or SAP technologies is a plus. -Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA modules and business processes. -Knowledge of data analytics, machine learning model lifecycle, or AI integration with enterprise systems. -Graduating in Fall 2025 or Spring 2026. -Exposure to SAP Intelligent Robotic Process Automation (iRPA) or SAP AI Core/Launchpad. -Must have a degree conferred by the start date. -Familiarity with one or more automation or AI tools (e.g., UiPath, Automation Anywhere, SAP BTP, Python, TensorFlow, Azure AI, etc.). -1 year of programming analysis experience or internship experience. -Basic understanding of the technical components of the job. Basic understanding of software, how it works, and how it often breaks. -Must have permanent authorization to work full time (40 hours a week) in the United States. PG&E will not provide visa or immigration support. -Excellent communication and presentation skills, especially for stakeholder demos. -Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or equivalent experience and/or field of study Strong understanding in process analysis, automation, or AI-related projects. -Prototyping and Technical Experimentation -Experience working on or supporting SAP implementation or digital transformation programs. -Positive stakeholder feedback and adoption rate of proposed solutions -Process Thinking and Analytical Skills
