Tasks

-Work on exciting cutting-edge technology on novel drive system topologies and challenging and exciting global projects. -Provide technical leadership, advice, and assistance to the overall service team, including Commissioning, Service, and third parties. -Support improvement initiatives and ‘cost out’ plans in collaboration with teams from other business units. -Lead technically a multidiscipline project team of engineers specializing in power systems, power conversion, automation, control, and mechanical integration to ensure service solutions meet customer, contract, quality, and regulatory requirements. -Support the Service Engineering Manager as required. Plan and progress all service-related activities, including testing, commissioning, and upgrades for specific projects. -Monitor, control, and manage service engineering project budgets, project documentation, risk management processes, design reviews, and quality & change control systems in accordance with company guidelines.

What You Bring

-Experience in specifying components such as drives, motors, transformers, and switchboards. -Strong analytical, interpersonal, communication, presentation, and facilitation skills. -Ability to multitask on various tasks within strict time scales. -Customer-centric mindset, with experience in translating customer issues/needs into effective service solutions. -Experience in design and system integration working on complex multi-disciplinary projects. -Experience in application engineering in one or more fields, such as power engineering, electrical drive systems, grid-connected systems, and automation. -Experience in an engineering leadership environment, particularly in service roles. -Experience in any field of power generation, conversion, transmission, and distribution, with a focus on service and upgrades. -Proven ability to lead large multi-disciplinary project teams and manage service operations efficiently. -Minimum Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or similar degree with suitable industry experience. -Expertise in LV and MV variable speed drives and motors.
