Overview

Operate Class A truck for deliveries, perform inspections, paperwork, and customer service.

Tasks

-Loads and unloads truck as needed. -Maintains telephone and / or radio contact with supervisor to receive delivery instructions. -Drives truck to destination. -Inspects truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water. -Positions blocks and ties rope around items to secure cargo during transit. -Maintains truck log, according to state and federal regulations. -Distributes receipts for load picked up. -Occasionally collects payment for goods delivered and for delivery charges.

What You Bring

We are a drug-free workplace & pre-employment testing is required as a condition of employment for all positions. ** This role is not open for submission from outside staffing agencies** Moffett Experience Required -Proficient in reading and writing English -Familiar with pre and post trip inspections and using online log systems. -Must be CDL Licensed, must pass Driver's Testing, and must pass DOT Physical / Drug Testing -Someone with previous over the road experience. -Knowledge of basic math, ability to read and write the English language, and map reading skills' -Capable of working in a physically demanding work environment which includes bending; stretching; pushing, pulling and lifting a MINIMUM of 75 LBS; and extensive fast-paced walking in all weather conditions throughout the year -Must be able to operate a Moffett truck. -Shift- Day Shift OT as needed -Previous warehouse experience highly preferred -Current and active Class A Driver’s license with good driving record.
