Tasks

-Actively work system and software performance to achieve business goals. -Create application monitoring, maintenance, and documents. -Manages and mentors developers on job responsibilities. -Implement, test, and deploy software integrations (file transfers, Java/APIs, Agile) -Work very closely with the System Architect and multiple Technology teams to champion the adoption of patterns, platforms, and tools to support the usage and conformity of solution architecture. -Analyze complex issues and work to resolution. -All activities done in a manner to meet SOX compliance. Participate in annual SOX audits. -Understand, implement, and test Security features. -Follow standard PPL processes including System Access and Change Management -Metering Wireless Mesh Networks -Actively champion data quality needed to achieve business goals. -Assist in analyzing and researching new and existing products, procedures, and/or workflow needs associated with business systems. -Create additions and adjustments to the batch schedule in Automic. -Collaborate with business users, system analysts, developers, and ecosystem partners to bring innovative ideas from conception to launch at scale. -Build, configure, or customize the technical solution (reusable components, preconfigured solutions, cloud solution and services) -Hands on with metering specific hardware for field meter reading and meter testing. -Manage automation and monitor application integration as code iteratively goes through assembly and product tests. -Working with On Shore and Offshore team members, System Integration vendors, Application vendors, IT support organizations, and business teams. -Adopt emerging technologies and launch products / services faster with rapid prototyping & iterative methods. -Install new versions of Desktop software available to team members and business users.

What You Bring

-Work in an iterative/Agile environment and be a strong team player. -Experience with metering applications or related applications. -Bachelor's degree and 7 years of related work experience OR 10 years of related work experience. -Advance in depth emerging technology and software delivery knowledge -Background in software development and is familiar with one or more software languages such as C#, Java, Python etc. -Strong problem solving and analytics skills to be able to develop technology solutions that solve business problems quickly. -Ability to collaborate with internal and external teams to unblock critical issues during product development. -Ability to effectively adapt to rapid technological and business change while maintaining enthusiasm and displaying sound judgment. -Experience with database programming and application Integration programming. -Utilities industry experience -Radian/Weco Watt Net Plus – Meter Testing and Inventory system -Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related major or an alternate combination of education/experience which results in equivalent job knowledge. -Working knowledge in one or more of emerging technologies (e.g., Microservices, DevOps, Multi-Cloud technologies, IoT, Intelligent Automation, RPA, Test automation, artificial intelligence, etc.) -Familiar with the latest technologies, trends, standards, products, and applicability -Prior experience with any of these applications/technologies or related systems: -Proven ability to take prototypes to production, following engineering best practices. -Experience with LWC/Java, Azure Dev Ops, Automic, ITIL, Linux Command Shell, integrated development environment. -Minimum of five years’ related experience -IFS FieldNet Drive By/Walk By Meter Reading -Itron MV90 -Landis+Gyr Meter Data Management System -Proficient in or a proven ability to learn a variety of technologies (Oracle PL/SQL, SQL, Azure Integration (Kubernetes, Micronaut, Java, APIs), Microsoft Office applications, SaaS/Cloud applications). -Ability to collaborate with team members across different functional domains and technologies. -Self-starter mentality and an ability to spin up, configure development and test environments. -Excellent interpersonal relations skills -Develop and implement applications, databases, software, integrations, firewall rules, security, testing, code migrations, Project Management, with Agile Framework skills. -Master's Degree in relevant technology/industry areas
