Overview

Perform infrared thermographic inspections of commercial electrical systems.

Tasks

-Operate a company vehicle and complete fleet maintenance reports as required -Follow safety protocols and industry standards during all inspection activities -Keep detailed records of inspections, findings, and maintenance activities for compliance and future reference -Communicate effectively with management, team members, and clients to ensure clear understanding of service needs and solutions -Maintain and calibrate thermographic equipment to ensure optimal performance and accuracy -Prepare detailed inspection reports, including findings, recommendations, and necessary corrective actions -Capture high-quality thermal images and interpret data accurately to diagnose electrical anomalies -Conduct infrared thermographic inspections of electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify potential faults or overheating issues -Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to prioritize repairs and maintenance based on inspection results

What You Bring

-Ability to interpret thermal patterns, emissivity, and reflectivity factors -Proficiency with FLIR, Fluke, or similar infrared camera systems and analysis software -Strong understanding of thermal physics, heat transfer, and electrical/mechanical systems -Must possess personal hand tools required to perform mechanical work and voltage testing -Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and motor vehicle background check -Minimum 400 hours of field thermography experience -Willingness to commute to various job sites using company vehicles within Orange County, Los Angeles County, and/or the Inland Empire -Basic understanding of NFPA 70E, OSHA regulations, and general electrical safety practices -Proficient English communication skills, both written and verbal, for preparing reports and emails
