Tasks
-Monitor the erosion control plan and identify discrepancies and potential issues -Verify the dimensions and calculations of prepared and completed work -Prepare construction inspection summaries of daily activities -Coordinate and communicate material testing requirements on the project. Oversee and accept project sampling and testing of component materials and completed work -Ensure projects fulfill ISO compliance requirements -Operate within specified (corporate or project) budget parameters -Inform Client on project issues and provide them with recommendations -Oversee project schedule and budget -Interact with Project Managers and clients in a proactive manner to determine what routine issues affecting project management need to be addressed -Solve construction problems in the field -Responsible for: Progress estimates and final estimates throughout the construction project duration. -Maintain construction project records in accordance with GDOT and project specific procedures -Responsible for: Receiving general instructions regarding assignments and exercising initiative and independent judgment in the solution of work problems. -Achieve or exceed budgeted individual utilization target -Assist in negotiating contractor change orders -Prepare and analyze schedules -Review detailed records of the contractor’s daily operations including manpower, equipment, construction methods, and events that affect the work -Comply with all KCI policies and procedures -Test, document, and assure quality of contractor's work -Responsible for: Directing and assigning specific tasks to administrative and field staff and assisting in all phases of the construction project, exercising initiative and independent judgment in the solution of work problems. -Track / measure completed work quantities for payment -Take ownership of personal career development by seeking and providing feedback, seizing opportunities to develop new skills, and setting and pursuing personal goals -Analyze complex construction/design problems requiring the development of new or improved techniques or procedures and consults with design engineering personnel -Perform/oversee the review of daily inspection reports and quantity computations -Directs and assigns specific tasks to inspectors and assists in all phases of the construction project -Maintain document control for correspondence, RFIs, submittals, etc. -Prepare cost estimates -Monitor work zone traffic control plan and identify discrepancies and potential issues -Responsible for the progress and final estimates throughout the construction project duration -Complete all tasks on time and within budget while fully meeting the scope -Establish strong working relationship with client, contractors, and design engineers -Interface proactively with the project managers, contractors, and inspection staff on various facets of the project including review of contract plans and documents, day-to-day construction activities and review of contractors’ submittals -Manage the team of inspectors, coordinate their schedules and oversee their work and records -Ensure timely completion of time sheets and expense reports -Review drawings, specifications, and other contract documents for constructability (plans, specs, shop drawings)

What You Bring
-Bachelor's degree from an accredited university is preferred. -Ability to: Communicate effectively in English (verbally and in writing) -Minimum of 5 - 9 years of experience required. -Read plans and specifications and understand the construction contractor's means and methods
