The Role
Overview
Assist in landscape design, drafting, and project coordination for urban and community projects.

Tasks
-Work closely with the Landscape Architects and Planning Team in recommending the best use of project tools in order to achieve project objectives, troubleshoot and resolve issues. -Assist in the coordination of design and specifications within the context of a multidisciplinary landscape design team. -Work with the Landscape Architects in designing the site, grading, and planting layout on projects. -Perform thorough quality control of construction documents and provide design ideas and solutions. -Prepare presentation material. -Design Portfolio in PDF format (10Mb max.) -Assist design team in the preparation of cost estimates, budgets, and construction take offs. -Produce construction drawings and plans using computeraided drafting programs. -Conduct site investigations and construction inspections. -Provide preliminary drawings/sketches/notes for projects, redlines and plans for submittals.

What You Bring
-Working knowledge of codes and design requirements specific to local geographic market. -A cover letter in PDF format indicating your background, interests, and goals in the field of landscape architecture, and any other relevant information you believe will support your application -Ability to work with others on a variety of projects, from small to large complex projects. -Proficient in 3D and rendering software. -Proficient in Microsoft (MS) Office Suite. -Proficient in English or French. Bilingualism is an advantage. -Able to work under and meet tight deadlines. -Ability to solve problems using sound professional judgment, creativity and innovation. -Effective written and verbal communication skills. -High proficient in relevant software programs including AutoCAD, Civil3D, and Adobe Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator). Knowledge of GIS, Auto Turn, etc. an asset. -Demonstrated industry practice knowledge and commitment to excellence in customer service. -Demonstrated experience in the preparation of designs and construction documents.
