The Role
Overview
Assist customers, take orders, and support sales for building materials.

Tasks
-Building relationships with customers. -Complete sales orders and tender cash sales. -Will frequently move about inside the office to access files, office machinery, etc. -Overcome objections of prospective customers. -Collaborate with Outside Sales Reps and Sales Managers to determine necessary strategic sales approaches. -Emphasize product/service features and benefits, quote prices, discuss credit terms, and prepare sales order forms and/or reports. -Establish and maintain effective working relationships at every level of the organization; invest in building relationships with the Field Operations and Field Support Center team members. -Develop product knowledge to assist customers with purchases. -Taking orders at the sales counter and over the phone. -Help champion an inclusive working environment by:

-Communicate professionally, both verbally and in writing to coworkers and customers -Must be able to demonstrate a high degree of sound judgement and initiative. -Ability to use company computer system to enter orders. -Must be able to quickly communicate solutions if problems occur. -Must be able to problem solve and prioritize tasks. -Must be able to manage stress depending on deadlines and ongoing projects. -Demonstrated ability to work independently and on a team; ability to lead, execute and/or delegate as needed, while also collaborating with others to get the job done. -Must be able to operate basic office machinery. -Must be able to communicate with team and management and be able to exchange accurate information in these situations. -Must be a team player, demonstrate attention to detail and have good organizational skills. -High school diploma or GED required, 4 year degree preferred -Must be able to remain in stationary position in an office environment: 50% -Must be able to multitask. -Must be able to receive and analyze information. -Ability to self-manage, show initiative and be comfortable meeting the public. -Ability to self-manage, show initiative, be proactive, and drive results.
