Tasks

-Responsible for achieving own performance targets. -Responsibility for wearing all PPE, for own health and safety and that of others and the public. -Diagnosing and replacing failed domestic electrical components. -Carry out electrical inspection tests and install electrical equipment and wiring across the prisons. -Responsible for the management and authorisation of high/low-risk maintenance activity on the FM estate using the Amey Safety Rules as the Authorised/Responsible persons (AP/RP). Training will be provided. -Planned and preventative electrical maintenance. -The security of plant, tools and materials and for the safe use of vehicles if needed.

What You Bring

-Capable of working at heights. -Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written), with a proficiency in IT. -Experience of electrical maintenance activities, general distribution and installation and testing. -Good all-round project management knowledge. -Appropriate technical qualification eg City & Guilds 2365 parts 1-3, BTEC, NVQ level 3 or above -Knowledge and experience of Electrical Systems and Electricity at work Regulations. -Ability to work alone and use initiative. -BS7671 IET Wiring Regulations, specifically 18th Edition*. -Experience in managing stakeholder relationships at all levels IT skills. -Membership of our Affinity Networks who connect, support and inspire diverse communities within Amey.
