Tasks

We are seeking a POS Planner to play a critical role in developing robust On-Track Plant (OTP) and other safety-critical plans. This position ensures safe, efficient, and cost-effective operations across our projects. You will be responsible for producing detailed lift plans, ALO (Any Line Open) plans, and associated RAMS to industry standards, working closely with clients, depot teams, and frontline staff to optimise equipment use while maintaining the highest safety and performance standards. -Stay updated with industry standards, safety bulletins, and best practices. -Conduct site visits to assess access, methodologies, hazards, and mitigation strategies. -Advise clients and plant teams on optimal use of equipment, offering innovative solutions in challenging environments. -Produce detailed lift plans and ALO plans, identifying risks and control measures. -Develop and implement comprehensive On-Track Plant plans, ensuring compliance with industry standards. -Brief site teams thoroughly to ensure competence and escalate issues where necessary. -Collaborate with Operations Managers to arrange POS/OTP walkouts, ideally at T-2 weeks, ensuring plans are locked down and shared accurately with depot teams. -Act as a Safety Leader, role-modelling HSQE behaviours, conducting safety tours, and promoting continuous improvement. -Foster a culture of engagement with frontline colleagues, ensuring their contributions are valued and competence maintained.

What You Bring

-Strong plant site methodology skills. -Full UK driving licence. -IT proficiency (Outlook, Excel, Teams). -Clear understanding of HSQE legislation and Sentinel rules. -Proven experience in managing and leading teams to deliver results. -Essential certifications: PTS Holder, COSS, MC/CC, POS trained, Lift Planner (single & tandem). -Proactive problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt quickly to changing needs. -Strong interpersonal and collaborative team-working skills. -Extensive experience in the rail plant industry, including machines and attachments.
