Tasks
-Judgment: Makes decisions with sound reasoning, involving the appropriate stakeholders. -Collaborate with internal teams and third-party contractors to ensure safe, compliant operations. -Customer Service: Manages customer concerns, responds promptly, and meets service commitments. -Conduct regular site inspections, monitor alarms, and support energy efficiency measures. -Support auxiliary equipment and make minor changes to mechanical and electrical systems as needed. -Operate and maintain critical infrastructure, such as plumbing, fire suppression, and safety systems, ensuring optimal functionality. -Dive headfirst into the data center operations at our state-of-the-art campuses – you will learn about critical infrastructure, facility maintenance, and uptime assurance. -Safety and Security: Observes safety procedures, reports unsafe conditions, and ensures proper use of equipment and materials. -Work closely with other team members to troubleshoot and resolve facility-related incidents. -Perform preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance on critical and non-critical equipment, including HVAC systems, plumbing, fire suppression, life safety, and building management systems (BMS). -Expand your civilian network by building relationships with professionals in technology, engineering, and facilities management. -Maintain and troubleshoot complex systems, including electrical, HVAC, chillers, generators, UPS, and fire detection systems. -Troubleshoot and resolve moderately complex alarm issues, following standard operating procedures. -Perform facility upkeep as needed, including minor building repairs, plumbing, light electrical work, -Receive and execute work orders for preventative and corrective maintenance on electrical systems and building physical structure. -Participate in infrastructure projects and provide technical solutions to improve performance and minimize downtime. -Complete maintenance work orders and documentation in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS). -Support continuous improvement processes by offering recommendations for system enhancements.

-Problem Solving: Identifies and resolves issues, develops alternative solutions, and works well in group problem-solving situations. -Good time management habits, ability to multi-task, to sustain focus on long tasks. -Comprehensive knowledge of critical infrastructure i.e., UPS, generator, BMS, chillers, life safety systems -Education level: Working on bachelor’s degree or relevant experience with 1-4 years in Mechanical Engineering or related field. -Strong interpersonal and time management skills -Must meet all eligibility requirements outlined in DOD Instruction 1322.29 and NAVADMIN 222/15. Required -Ability to communicate thoughts and technical ideas. -Coursework in HVAC design or heat transfer and thermodynamics -Dependability: Follows instructions, keeps commitments, and completes tasks on time. -Knowledge of HVAC testing and balancing methodologies -Ability to lift 50 lbs -Analytical Skills: Synthesizes complex information, designs workflows, and uses data to solve problems. -Quality Focus: Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness, continuously seeking ways to improve performance. -Technical Skills: Strives for continuous learning, improves technical knowledge, and shares expertise with others. -Adaptability: Adjusts to changes in the work environment and handles competing demands and delays. -The ability to prioritize effectively, balance assigned work and exceptional organization skills required for our constantly evolving environments. -Receive specialized training on power distribution, cooling systems, and more in a mix of hands on and online training. -Technical associates degree, military-technical school, or civilian technical trade school completion
