The Role
Overview
Lead and deliver complex infrastructure programmes for regional clients in South West England.

Tasks
-Drive operational excellence and continuous improvement within this new regional function/team. -Ensure a robust approach to risk identification, evaluation and mitigation is applied to all commissions; -Lead or support the delivery of significant, complex programme management advisory or delivery commissions involving multidisciplinary teams and diverse stakeholder groups; -Develop and deliver regional programmes aligned with sector and client priorities -Ensure commissions are managed and delivered to the appropriate quality standards and commercial expectations; -Identify and act upon business development opportunities with existing and new clients, including cross-selling opportunities within and without the team; -Lead, mentor, and help grow a newly established programme management function and diverse team, promoting technical and professional development -Lead and support the development of proposals through the entire bid process; -Identify opportunities to share knowledge and best practice and promote the team both internally and externally with clients and relevant industry bodies. -Ensure all direct reports are engaged, developed and supported along their own career journeys; and -Develop strong relationships with clients and members of the cross-functional teams to support successful delivery; -Support the team in the delivery of its strategic goals in relation to capability, growth and commercial targets;

What You Bring
-Complex, multi-disciplinary programme and PMO management experience; -Demonstrable client engagement at senior levels; -Managing Successful Programmes accredited (or international equivalent) is preferred. -Key skills including: leadership, strategy development, relationship management, complex problem solving and insightful; -Highly motivated with excellent industry network; -Management consulting experience; -Commercial experience is essential along with a proven track record of winning and retaining new clients. -Experience in client management – able to manage the account in terms of ‘live’ programmes while seeking new opportunities; -Chartership (ChPP) or an APM accreditation (or willingness to work towards achieving). -Experience using business information tools is preferred. -Public and private sector infrastructure, aviation, energy, rail and water experience preferred - other useful experience would include Defence, Government, Highways, Health and Decarbonisation. -Proven track record for delivery; -Demonstrate leadership in the implementation of AECOM health, safety and environment requirements; -Line management experience in a comparative consultancy business; -Degree level education, ideally project or programme management/construction/engineering. -Proven experience in programme management within engineering/construction, ideally in the South-West of England and Wales. -Possess the ability to work across service lines (including a track record of cross-selling); and
