Overview

Drive sales and manage customer relationships for water infrastructure products.

Tasks

-Answers questions about products, prices, durability, and credit terms. Prepares estimates and bids to meet specific needs of customers. Maintains a high level of product knowledge. -Develops and sustains sales relationships with key decision makers and influencers on all levels of an organization. -Nature of work requires increasing independence; receives guidance only on unusual, complex problems or issues. Work review typically involves periodic review of output by supervisor and/or direct "customers" of the process. -Shares market and competitor intelligence with all applicable channels within the company. -Performs branch customer service duties on an as needed basis. -Develops and implements sales plans to expand business in the assigned territory. Owns and drives sales for a specific book of accounts. -May provide general guidance/direction to or train junior level support personnel or professional personnel. -Interacts with customers, vendors, and associates to resolve customer-related and service-related issues. -Assists in training or mentoring of associates. Assigns or delegates responsibilities as needed. -Conducts calls and on-site customer visits with new and existing customers to solicit orders.

What You Bring

-Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time. -Must pass pre-employment assessment(s) if applicable -Demonstrates skill in data analysis techniques by resolving missing/incomplete information and inconsistencies/anomalies in more complex research/data. -5-7 years of experience selling in an inside or outside sales environment. -Knowledge of customer business needs. -Knowledge of Core & Main product line and core customers. -Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles. -Must be a minimum of 18 years of age or older -Bachelor's degree preferred. -Typically requires BS/BA in related discipline. Generally 2-5 years of experience in related field; certification is required in some areas OR MS/MA and generally 2-4 years of experience in related field. Certification is required in some areas. -Demonstrated telesales experience.
