Electronic Systems Security Technician

Overview

Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electronic security systems for federal facilities.

Tasks

-Comply with company drug and alcohol policy. -Perform work on Access Controls, including card readers, electronic or wireless locks, and card, biometric, and fingerprint devices, among others -Perform work on Intrusion Systems and Prevention Systems, to include perimeter controls -Assess tools, inventory, and material needs for replacement and order, as needed -Meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment with minimum direction -Drives company vehicles -Perform work on Video Management Systems, to include Bosch, Milestone, Axis -Cleans up installation debris and maintains an orderly workspace -Analyzes blueprints and building plans to confirm proper placement of wiring, conduit, and intended overall connection plan on a room-by-room and floor-by-floor basis -Erects safety signage in appropriate areas -Terminates and dismantles devices and reconstructs equipment as required -Use ladders to safely access ceiling crawl spaces and attics, pulling wires, hooking up routes, etc. -Performs system testing and signal verification -Assist with teammate troubleshooting needs virtually or by phone, as needed -Maintain, enter, and process expenses in Company system by established deadlines

What You Bring

-Ability to be available to travel with short notice for emergency response, as needed -High School Diploma or equivalent -Experience working with fire systems -Experience with Video Management Systems -Ability to travel up to 35% within the contiguous United States, as needed -5+ years of directly relevant experience in security systems installation -Maintain a high level of professionalism, in appearance and communication with the public and federal/local community members -Working knowledge of ESS platform experience -Must be proficient in English, both written and verbal, to ensure effective communication and collaboration. -Must possess and maintain an active and valid Florida driver's license without restrictions. -OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 -Experience traveling across multi-state or regional geographic areas -Experience with access control systems and intrusion detection systems -Successful results of preemployment screenings, including federal background check, MVR, and drug screen. -Ability to program devices -Ability to obtain a Public Trust security clearance -18+ years of age -Ability to walk, stand, or sit for extended periods of time -Be authorized to work in the US or will be authorized by the successful candidate’s start date. -Certification in Hirsch/Identiv, C*CURE 9000, Lenel, Bosch Video Management System, Honeywell Vindicator, or other ESS (Electronic Security Systems) -Experience working on federal, military, or government contracts -Ability to read blueprints and building plans -Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and carry up to 25 lbs. regularly
