Tasks

-Collect and analyze data to detect non-compliance with laws, regulations and management policies -Support internal and external auditors as needed -Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies. -Examine whether the organization's objectives are reflected in its management activities and whether employees understand the objectives -Keep informed of pending industry changes, trends, best practices and assess the potential impact of these changes on organizational processes -Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required. -Draft reports related to audit results and recommend changes in financial, operational, compliance, or strategic activities and present to audit leadership -Prepare footnotes for parent and subsidiary financial statements -Review work of other accountants in the department -Review and evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls -Assist in various project and financial accounting tasks as part of the quarterly and year-end close processes -Assist project and financial accounting managers with other accounting-related matters, ad hoc requests, and special projects -Utilize automated workpaper software and other automated audit technology -Perform financial, operational, compliance, and strategic audits -Inspect account books and accounting systems for efficiency, effectiveness, and use of accepted accounting procedures -Collaborate with other home office and district departments as necessary -Prepare and analyze accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports for accuracy, completeness and conformance to reporting and procedural standards -Gather and prepare audit documentation to support conclusions reached

What You Bring

-GPA of 3.0 or higher -Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance -Regular, reliable attendance -Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment. -Understanding of U.S. GAAP, U.S. GAAS, and controls framework -Strong communication skills and ability to communicate with business partners at all levels of management -Ability to work effectively in a group environment -Ability to quickly grasp new ideas and processes -Critical thinking skills and the ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems -Work productively and meet deadlines timely
