The Role

Overview

Provide onsite EHS consulting to Bay Area clients, handling safety, hazardous materials, compliance.

Tasks

-Manage a variety of tasks to achieve scope, budget and schedule targets while ensuring we meet and exceed our clients' expectations on deliverables. -Perform safety risk assessments/analyses, inspections, and observations as part of implementing effective EHS programs, procedures, practices, and standard work to ensure regulatory compliance and protect personnel and the environment. -Build strong collaborative relationships with our clients and other ERM employees. -Help develop and implement innovative EHS programs and strategies in the areas of Hazard Communication (HazComm), Injury Illness Prevention Plan (IIPP), Chemical Management, Occupational Health, Safety Management Systems, Process Safety and Risk Management (PSM), Industrial Hygiene, and technical support. -Investigate accidents, incidents, or issues, identifying and/or implementing corrective actions to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. -Enable our clients’ business objectives and become an extension of their EHS team. -Work with project team to effectively implement assignments for client. -Participate as an enthusiastic team member on various project teams and effectively complete assignments. -Assist with collection, review, and analysis of field data to evaluate conditions, present information, and implement effective solutions. -Building Hazardous Materials Inspections/Oversight/Sampling (Certified Site Surveillance Technician or Certified Asbestos Consultant Required) -Develop an understanding of how your work affects our clients’ business objectives and help them achieve these objectives. -Oversee assessment, abatement, and disturbance/handling of hazardous materials and be able to document and assist writing technical reports of activities and sampling. -Support EHS communication in various client environments, while assuring safe operating procedures are implemented and followed. -Ensure quality standards on project deliverables and correspondence. -Assist global innovative companies develop solutions to complex technical and regulatory issues and concerns. -Collect building material samples for analysis of hazardous materials including asbestos, lead, PCBs, etc. following regulatory requirements and industry standards. -Providing onsite client support to help solve their most pressing EHS challenges. -Process Hazard Assessments

What You Bring

-Ability to effectively participate in cross-functional teams in a fast-paced and diverse environment, where support responsibilities may be shared. -Electrical Safety / NFPA 70E -Knowledge of California state and local EHS regulations as well as best practices. -Effectively and succinctly communicate with clients, team members, and stakeholders. -Organized, analytical, detail-oriented, problem-solver, has project management skills and strong focus on results, and ability to work independently. -Strong work ethic with a passion to learn, grow, and thrive. -Working understanding of relevant local, state and federal regulations and how they apply to specific industries. -Master degree in safety, occupational health, engineering, or related science degree and/or work experience (2 years of experience is equivalent to 1 year education). -Chemical or Lab Safety -Ability to effectively communicate and send clear, concise, and consistent messages, both verbally and written, with team members, leadership, and client customers including presenting tangible information to management. -This position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship. -2+ years of relevant experience in working with significant private-sector clients. -Bachelor degree in safety, occupational health, engineering, or related science degree and/or work experience (2 years of experience is equivalent to 1 year education). -Ability to work independently and in a team setting, with guidance and direction. -Laser Safety -Robotics Safety -Ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments (tasks and deliverables) concurrently. -Good team player, especially during challenging situations. -Willingness to travel to and be at client site(s) for up to 40 hours/week primarily within the Northern California Bay Area, California. -Driver's License Required: This position requires a valid driver's license and/or the ability to operate a company vehicle due to the nature of job duties, which include frequent travel to various client locations across a large geographical area.
