Tasks
-Create construction schedules. -Collaborate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain pricing for materials and services. -Identify potential risks and opportunities to optimize costs during the bidding process. -Assist in value engineering to provide cost-effective solutions without compromising quality. -Review project plans, blueprints, and specifications to understand scope and requirements. -Prepare detailed cost estimates, including breakdowns for materials, labor, and overhead. -Stay updated on industry trends, material costs, and construction techniques. -Estimate labor hours and equipment requirements based on project complexity and timelines. -Maintain accurate records of estimates, assumptions, and supporting documentation. -Present estimates to project managers and clients, addressing questions and clarifications. -Calculate quantities of concrete, rebar, formwork, and other materials needed for projects.

Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications. Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with internal teams and clients. Knowledge of local building codes and regulations (preferred). We are seeking a motivated and detail oriented Full-Time Senior Estimator to join our team. At MCC, our success stems from the contributions of each and every Team Member. Proficiency in Takeoff Software, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong understanding of concrete construction methods, materials, and equipment. Valid driver’s license and ability to visit project sites as needed. Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (preferred) or equivalent experience. Familiarity with Takeoff Software, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office Suite Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple estimates simultaneously. Excellent mathematical and analytical skills with attention to detail. 3+ years of experience in concrete estimating or construction cost estimation. Acceptable Driving Record Required Professionalism – Communicative, dependable, consistent, prepared and adept.
