Tasks

-Develop innovative design solutions to serve and benefit clients. -Promote the implementation of digital, automation and parametric methods of design on projects -Technical responsibility for ensuring designs are delivered in accordance with current standards & best practices. -Maintain awareness of commercial and technical management of projects to assist in ensuring that they are managed effectively within budgetary constraints. -Producing Microdrainage designs for below ground drainage, including schedules -Preparation of designs for civil/ utilities/ pavement and drainage schemes, from initial feasibility, planning schemes, concept through to detailed design. -Production of design calculations, checking and reviewing of calculations prepared by others. -Producing sketch drawings and designs for development by technicians, checking and reviewing prior to issue.

What You Bring

-Min. 8 years’ experience -Experience of Civil 3D -Proven knowledge and experience in industrial engineering, pavement and drainage design to provide specialist technical advice to a number of projects as required across the business. -Experience of Specification for Highways Works -Experience of DMRB design -BEng/MEng in Civil Engineering (Preferred) -Strong communication skills -Competent in the use of Micro Drainage software -Trade effluent design (experience of industrial / heavy industrial sites in particular would be advantageous) -Experience of pumped drainage systems -Experience of SUDS -Knowledge of utilities and experience of interfacing utilities with both industrial sites and highway schemes -Chartered (or close to achieving chartered engineer status) with ICE or equivalent professional institution -Experience of surcharged outfalls
