Senior Structural Engineer, P.E.

Lead design and supervision of bridge and transportation structures in Virginia.

Tasks

-Support construction phase of projects, including responding to RFI’s, review of shop drawings, problem solving, etc. -Perform and direct engineering alternatives investigations through the collection and analysis of data, performing calculations, and evaluation of alternate solutions. -Develop structural calculations and produce engineering drawings for both Design-Bid-Build and Design-Build projects related to bridge and transportation structures. -Train and mentor junior engineers. -Prepare written technical reports.

What You Bring

-10 to 15 years of experience in public sector transportation bridge work and other transportation-related structure designs. -Experience working on VDOT projects preferred. -Understanding of VDOT standards and design criteria is preferred. -P.E. license currently active in the Commonwealth of Virginia. -MicroStation experience preferred. -Expertise in bridge and structure designs and software such as MDX, Descus, Staad-Pro, LARSA, and Conspan. -B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering with structures focus.
