The Role

Overview

Lead commercial strategy, contracts, and cost management for major construction projects

Tasks

-Provide accurate, timely data to support cash flow forecasting and commercial decision-making. -Ensure robust commercial governance across project lifecycles. -Record and manage all information relating to contractual delays. -Complete all necessary take-offs to support Estimating, Procurement, and Planning teams. -Foster a culture of high performance, accuracy, and commercial discipline. -Oversee financial positions for contracts, subcontractors, specialists, and suppliers. -Lead the preparation of monthly and interim valuations, applications for payment, reconciliations, and cost reports. -Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Contract Surveyors, Assistant Surveyors, and Junior Surveyors. -Examine contract documents in detail and flag inconsistencies or risks. -Prepare and agree interim and final valuations with client representatives. -Produce and submit final accounts for completed works packages. -Collaborate with Procurement to place subcontract packages.
