- Minimum academic requirements include coursework in hydraulics and principles of water and wastewater treatment plant and infrastructure design
- Proficient in MS Word and Excel
- Knowledge of civil design concepts and familiarity with codes and regulations related to drinking water and water pollution control
- Permitting and alternative analysis
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
- Work well in a team environment
- Master’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
- Registration as a Professional Engineer in multiple states
- 4 to 8 years of experience in water and sewer system modeling, master planning
- Hydraulic modeling using Innovyze software programs (Infowater, InfoWorks) and/or Bentley (WaterCAD, SewerCAD, WaterGEMS), or Aquanuity (Aqua Twin Water and Sewer)
- Application of engineering principles including critical thinking, analysis, and innovative techniques
- Knowledge of system hydraulics, hydraulic modeling software for pressurized and/or gravity pipeline networks, knowledge and experience working with GIS
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- PE license
- Have the ability to communicate effectively with clients and project team
- Highly motivated, articulate, and self-starting
