The Role

Overview

Weld and braze HVAC components using MIG and Submerged Arc processes.

Tasks

-Ensure a prefect final product by doing hand grinding and forming work. -Read tape measures and angle finders to accurately mark materials for cutting. -Operate various shop tools including power and manually operated wrenches (Used for handling, assembly, and clamping). -Execute precise layout and fit-up tasks using advanced fixtures and positioners to ensure components meet exacting specifications. -Operate equipment safely and proactively reporting any hazards to maintain a secure work environment for everyone -Read blueprint drawings and cut lists to interpret the job requirements. -Operate a plasma cutter and acetylene torches to cut materials. -Produce welds that are consistently smooth, non-porous, and deeply penetrated, serving as a benchmark for quality within the team. -Operate equipment safely and proactively reporting any hazards to maintain a secure work environment for everyone. -Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace. -Operate equipment safely and proactive reporting on any hazards; maintain a secure work environment for everyone. -Perform a variety of brazing functions across all material types, showcasing your versatility and broad technical skill set. -Utilize MIG welding expertise to efficiently assemble fabricated metal products, consistently hitting production targets while maintaining superior quality. -Diligent follow engineering procedures and leverage appropriate jigs and fixtures to guarantee repeatable, high-accuracy assembly.

What You Bring

-Pass an onsite 6G certification (Weld Test) -Ability to perform vertical, flat and overhead welds with a good penetration and a quality appearance. -Prior ASME certification -High School Diploma or GED -Effective communication skills and a collaborative attitude, ready to assist teammates to meet shared goals and deadlines. -2+ years of experience in manufacturing or heavy industrial welding i.e., Pulsed MIG, Short-Arc MIG or Submerged Arc processes -Skillfully deploy a variety of welding processes, primarily Pulsed MIG, Short-arc MIG, and Submerged Arc, on diverse metal types to create robust assemblies. -Math skills including fractions and angles to calculate and verify dimensions. -Pass the onsite training for Overhead Crane Operation -Physical ability to work and weld in awkward positions such as, kneeling, lying down and overhead, and climb & work from a ladder and lift up to 50 pounds -Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the USA.
