Overview
Lead development of renewable and conventional power projects from origination to construction

Tasks
-Coordinate with internal teams (engineering, finance, legal, construction) and external stakeholders (landowners, regulators, utilities, consultants). -Prepare and deliver presentations, reports, and proposals for management, partners, and investors. -Build and maintain relationships with local communities, government agencies, and industry stakeholders. -Monitor policy, regulatory, and market developments relevant to project development in North Carolina and neighboring markets. -Manage project schedules, budgets, and development milestones to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery. -Lead all aspects of project development, including site identification, feasibility analysis, permitting, and interconnection processes. -Support power offtake strategy, including RFP responses and bilateral PPA negotiations. -Conduct due diligence and risk assessments to evaluate project viability and compliance with environmental and regulatory requirements.

What You Bring
We are seeking a Project Development Manager to lead the development of renewable and conventional power generation projects from early-stage origination through financial close and construction handoff. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing site acquisition, permitting, interconnection, stakeholder engagement, and overall project execution. This role requires a strong understanding of the power markets, regulatory frameworks, and project finance fundamentals. -Strong understanding of permitting, interconnection, and regulatory processes. -Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Environmental Science, Energy, or related field (Master’s preferred). -Willingness to travel within North Carolina and the broader region as required. -Excellent project management, negotiation, and communication skills. -Knowledge of U.S. power markets, particularly PJM and/or Southeast markets. -Ability to work independently while managing multiple projects simultaneously. -5+ years of experience in project development within the energy sector (renewables, natural gas, or related industries). -Proven track record of advancing projects from concept to construction.
