Overview

Lead process engineering design for mining infrastructure projects, ensuring safety and compliance.

Tasks

-Contributing to processes to maintain change & cost control. -Contribute to project planning, cost estimation, and risk assessments for process-related scopes. -Liaise with operations teams to understand plant performance issues and develop improvement strategies. -Support concept studies, feasibility assessments, and detailed design phases with process modelling and optimisation input. -Participation in design reviews and technical audits. -Pressure relief design Utilities schedules, utilities flow diagrams and line sizing -Make technical presentations internally, to clients and to outside organisations. -Contribute to knowledge sharing in internal and external forums. -Preparation of equipment lists, equipment datasheets, specifications -Coordinating his/her work with other members of the Team. -Undertake and lead process design work for projects and studies including typical activities and deliverables: - -To ensure that process safety issues are fully considered within projects eg HAZOP, LOPA, hazardous area classification, SIL reviews. -To ensure technical excellence in process engineering and design. -Remain up to date with market and competitor knowledge. -Co-ordination of a design to ensure good interface with all other disciplines. -Preparation of process flow diagrams & piping and instrumentation diagrams -Lead and deliver process engineering scopes for mining sustaining capital and brownfield projects. -Maintain strong colleague relationships and contribute to the teams’ performance of client satisfaction. -Support/generate cost and manhours estimate for proposals, studies and projects. -Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior process engineers and designers. -Act as Lead Process Engineer on selected projects controlling design, specifications, costs, hours, quality and programme. -Develop and review process design documentation, including mass and energy balances, PFDs, P&IDs, process descriptions, and design reports. -Ensure all designs comply with WSP’s quality standards, client requirements, and relevant Australian and international codes and standards. -Develop the strength of the expertise within the process engineering department. -Process hazard studies (including HAZOP) and design safety reviews -Preparation of validation documentation

What You Bring

-C. Eng, P. Eng qualification would be an added advantage. -Input into multi-discipline design programmes. -The candidate must have a valid passport. -13-16 years of experience in process engineering. -Preference will be given to candidates with minimum 13-16 year of experience in a consulting firm in an EPCM environment in the O & G, Power, Mining processing industry is an asset. -Preference will be given to candidates with engineering design as well as shop detailing experience of Chutes, Bins, Hoppers, and conveyor components. E.g. trusses -Adaptability & Learning -Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines. -Strong preference will be given to candidates with Australian experience -Minimum of a bachelor’s degree & preferred master’s degree in mechanical engineering. PG diploma or certificate in Piping engineering would be an asset. -communication skills are essential, along with the ability to work as part of a team. -Having a thirst for knowledge, cultural awareness, an open mind, and good English -Familiar with working in a LEAN environment. -Strong organizational, technical, and communication skills. -Excellent written and verbal communication skills, in English. -Strong attention to the detail. -You will also be computer literate with a reasonable proficiency in MS office suite and Navisworks. -Ability to work well as part of a team or on an individual basis. -Employment with WSP India is subject to the successful completion of a background verification (“BGV”) check conducted by a third-party agency appointed by WSP India. -Work competently with minimal supervision or on an individual basis. -SIL assessment
