The Role

Tasks

-Review escalated parts shortages or supply chain gaps and assist in mitigation planning. -Respond to and resolve procurement-related inquiries from internal and external stakeholders. -Execute approved procurement initiatives under the guidance of a supervisor. -Track contract performance and ensure alignment with contractual terms and regulatory obligations. -Collaborate with cross-functional internal teams to ensure timely procurement and shipment of supplies in support of government contracts. -Monitor supplier performance and drive continuous improvement in quality, cost, and delivery metrics. -Ensure strict adherence to applicable import/export, excise regulations, and regulatory compliance (FAR/DFAR). -Participate in bids and proposal activities, offering procurement inputs during pricing and sourcing strategy development. -Source new vendors and suppliers; assist in gathering market intelligence, pricing data, and process evaluations. -Use SAP (preferred) or other ERP systems to process purchase orders, maintain supplier data, and track procurement status. -Oversee full lifecycle of parts procurement — from RFQ (request for quote), supplier selection, price negotiation, to order placement and delivery. -Lead or participate in Integrated Product Team (IPT) meetings, supporting coordination between manufacturing and procurement teams.

What You Bring

-Experience with procurement lifecycle from quote to delivery. -Strong negotiation skills and ability to manage supplier relationships effectively. -Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems (SAP preferred). -Familiarity with FAR and DFAR regulations. -Understanding of compliance regulations, import/export rules, and government procurement procedures. -Shop floor environment, which may include but not limited to extensive walking, and ability to lift up to 40 lbs. -Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a supply chain/procurement role supporting government-funded projects. -You must be able to commute to and from the location with your own transportation arrangements to meet the required working hours. -Due to the nature of this role, proof of US Citizenship is required upon hire.
