Tasks

The Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) Coordinator to lead all aspects of our digital construction initiatives. This role will function as a subject matter expert for VDC processes as well as Building Information Modeling (BIM) coordination utilized throughout the organization and be responsible for executing our VDC and BIM strategies across all phases of construction projects. This individual embodies Harvey Cleary’s values of integrity, quality, and innovation in their work and interactions with team members and project stakeholders. The VDC Coordinator reports to the Director of Technology while supporting operations teams in the successful delivery of projects. -Create models and simulations to inform construction planning, site logistics, constructability reviews, lift plans, etc. -Adhere to the Harvey Cleary BIM standards and lead in the refinement of future iterations. -Create Building Information Models (BIM) of varying Levels of Development (LOD) and dimensions (3/4/5/6D) to meet project requirements. -Support project teams in the development of 3D quantity takeoffs -Identify, champion, and implement innovative improvements in model-based processes and technologies that improve project delivery. -Provide technical expertise to assist business development and marketing teams in pursuit efforts, including interview participation as needed. Perform additional VDC duties to support aspects of project delivery such as safety management, quality control/assurance, etc. -Educate project teams on model navigation and field coordination processes. -Lead in the preparation of and ensure compliance with the project BIM Execution Plan (BEP) -Perform clash detection of federated models and lead coordination efforts with clients, consultants, subcontractors, manufacturers, etc.

What You Bring

Prospective employees must be able to pass a criminal background check and random drug screens. -Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and various video conferencing platforms (Teams, Zoom, Webex, etc.) -Ability to work well both in a team environment and on individual assignments. -Proven experience leading BIM coordination meetings with a variety of stakeholders -Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and schedules. -Willingness to communicate. -Excellent verbal and written communication skills -Prolonged periods of sitting and working on a computer. -Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously -3+ years AEC industry experience -Ability to work with autonomy, think critically, and use professional judgment. -Associate degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, or a related field, or equivalent training/experience -Proficiency with modeling, CAD, and coordination software (Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Procore, etc.) -May be required to lift, carry, and move up to 15 lbs.
