Key Responsibilities

Tasks

-Advise architects and clients on building enclosure performance, constructability, and durability. -Conduct/oversee field review and progress inspection on designated projects. -Occasional presentation of white paper\case studies to technical teams -Ensure familiarity with building codes in local markets. -Document and maintain well written reports on project related activity, including progression of work from initial proposal though completion. -Produce details via hand sketching and using 2D and 3D CAD packages as required. -Provide cross-functional support to ensure client needs and internal timelines/project activities are completed. -Manage staff or team and foster training\mentoring -Undertake facade design, detailing and analysis, and participate in testing, fabrication and construction administration. -Provide manpower updates and resource availability -Advise management on related project performance\key issues, status, scheduling, effort of work and estimates for completion. -Break down technical needs\deliverable; assist in managing budgetary project requirements.

What You Bring

-Experience with detailed-level reviews of Division 07 and 08 submittal and shop drawings. -Registered Architect in the State of Illinois -Communicate effectively and establish relationships with clients and job-related management teams -5-10 years experience in building enclosure consulting and project management -Experience with quality assurance reviews with construction drawings and specifications. -Experience with client relations, preparation of construction documents, bidding, and construction administration. -Familiar with roofing and below-grade waterproofing systems. -Familiar with exterior curtain wall, window wall, glass, masonry, concrete, air-barrier, coating, sealant, and metal panel systems.
