The Role
Overview
Assemble/disassemble large generator rotors using thermal shrink fit and industrial tools.

Tasks
-Disassemble thermal shrink fit components by using induction heating equipment, specialty tools, and generator industrial hand tools. -Additional hand-skill tasks include prepping rotor shafts for blasting operations, cleaning rotor shafts after blasting and NDE operations, deburring machined parts, and fitting rotor blower blades -Install thermal shrink fit components on large generator rotors using ovens and specialized tools. -Engage in continuous improvement by applying 5S methodology

What You Bring
-Successful applicants must be able to obtain Silver Level or higher ACT® WorkKeys® National Career Readiness Certificate -Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, charts, and tables -Working knowledge of common industrial hand tools and ability to use precision measuring instruments -Must be able to obtain fork truck and crane license through Siemens Energy internal certification programs -Successful applicants must be able to pass hearing, vision, and pulmonary tests through Siemens Energy’s onsite medical team -High school degree or equivalent with 1+ years of experience in manufacturing/industrial/assembly operations
