Tasks

-Support the Design Manager in ensuring quality standards and alignment with brand aesthetics. -Review and cross-check drawings, material samples, and FF&E selections for compliance with design specifications. -Maintain project documentation — drawings, specifications, sample approvals, and revision logs. -Assist in cost and quantity checks in collaboration with procurement and estimation teams. -Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers for materials, finishes, and furniture; maintain up-to-date material library. -Track all design submissions and approvals to ensure smooth project flow. -Follow up on design deliverables, approvals, and ensure adherence to project timelines. -Coordinate with in-house designers, consultants, and contractors to ensure design intent is fully captured and executed on site. -Assist in the preparation and development of design concepts, presentations, material boards, and detailed drawings. -Resolve design-related issues in coordination with the project and site teams. -Facilitate coordination meetings between design, procurement, and site teams. -Communicate with clients for design clarifications, presentation feedback, and approvals. -Support in preparing design documentation — layouts, elevations, joinery details, and as-built drawings when required. -Conduct site visits to verify that design details are implemented correctly.

What You Bring

The Design Coordinator acts as the bridge between design, technical, and site teams — ensuring smooth coordination from concept to project completion. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with strong design understanding, project management awareness, and excellent communication skills to manage multiple stakeholders, including clients, consultants, suppliers, and contractors. -Experience managing multiple design packages across concurrent projects. -Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills. -Strong knowledge of AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop, and presentation tools (PowerPoint, InDesign). -Must be based in Dubai. -Solid understanding of materials, joinery, finishes, and FF&E coordination. -3–6 years of experience in interior design coordination within fit-out or design & build firms in the UAE. -Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field. -Fluent in English; Arabic is an advantage.
