Tasks

-Regularly review/update risk registers and contingency plans. (facilities projects) -Review, validate invoices, purchase orders, contracts for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with contractual obligations -Maintain accurate cost records and ensure proper coding of costs for accurate tracking and reporting -Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among project teams and stakeholders -Identify cost-saving opportunities and propose recommendations for cost optimization -Identify scope deviations, trends and potential risks that may impact project budgets -Collaborate with project teams to explore alternative solutions or approaches to achieve cost savings without compromising project quality or objectives -Evaluate cost-saving initiatives, conduct feasibility studies, and recommend cost-saving measures. (facilities project) -Conduct cost forecasting and provide accurate financial projections for project completion -Conduct regular cost reviews, analyze scope changes, trends, and forecast project financial performance to support proactive decision-making -Collaborate with project teams to assess the impact of scope changes and variations on project costs. (facilities project) -Coordinate project meetings, including progress updates, status reviews, and risk discussions -Identify opportunities for process improvement in project controls methodologies -Update project budgets and forecasts to reflect approved changes and their financial implications. -Maintain and administer robust cost control processes to monitor project expenses, including procurement costs, subcontractor costs, equipment rentals, and other project-related expenditures -Update risk registers, communicate risks effectively to ensure awareness and appropriate actions are taken. (facilities projects) -Monitor project costs throughout the project lifecycle, including tracking expenses, labor costs, materials, subcontractor costs, and other project-related expenditures -Ensure timely and accurate distribution of project-related information to stakeholders -Review and validate project invoices, purchase orders, and contracts for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with contractual obligations -Develop and implement best practices, standardized templates, and tools. (facilities project) -Support the development of project budgets and cost estimates -Assist in managing project scope changes, including impact analysis and change request evaluation. (facilities project) -Maintain accurate change logs and ensure proper documentation and communication of approved changes. (facilities project) -Identify potential risks and uncertainties that may impact project success -Conduct risk analysis, assess the probability, impact of risks, and develop mitigation strategies. (facilities projects) -Monitor project expenditures, track costs, and analyze budget variances -Monitor/report on risk mitigation activities, providing updates to project stakeholders and incorporating risk management measures into project planning and execution. (facilities projects) -Identify opportunities for cost optimization and value engineering throughout the project lifecycle. (facilities project) -Build strong relationships with project team members, clients, and other stakeholders -Promote continuous improvement in project controls processes and workflows -Copy and paste the job duties for the KRA. -Evaluate change requests, conduct cost analysis, and provide cost estimates for proposed changes. (facilities project) -Provide timely and accurate financial reports and analysis to project stakeholders, including cost-to-complete projections and revenue recognition updates

What You Bring

-Strong knowledge of project management principles, practices, and methodologies -Strong financial acumen and cost management expertise -Bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration, project management, or a related field -Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams -Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Microsoft NAVISION) -Excellent communication and interpersonal skills -Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software is required; Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience is an asset -Proficiency in data analysis and reporting using tools such as Microsoft Excel or Power BI -Previous experience in project controls, project management, or a similar analytical role -Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail
