Overview

Supervises refrigeration tech team, manages maintenance, repairs, training, and safety.

Tasks

-Apply advanced knowledge to seek and develop new, better methods for accomplishing both individual and department objectives. -Conducts post-installation reviews to identify and document deficiencies, ensuring they are addressed in collaboration with the construction team for a complete and compliant handover. -Impact the achievement of customer, operational, project, or service objectives across multi-discipline teams. Work is guided by functional policies which impact the design of procedures and policies. -Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Anticipates potential objections and persuades others, often at senior levels and of divergent interest, to adopt a different point of view. -Confirms that all approved proposals are executed correctly and that root causes are effectively addressed. -Develop, implement, and communicate preventive maintenance programs and safety procedure manuals. -Performs systems modifications as needed to maintain optimal performance and operational reliability. -Develop material and labor cost estimates for work orders, preventative maintenance activities, systems, and construction projects. -Coach others to develop in-depth knowledge and expertise in most or all areas within the function. -Track the training and development of staff. Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching opportunities. Oversee the recruiting and hiring of new employees. -Responds to emergency situations and fills in when assigned technicians are unavailable due to vacation or other absences, ensuring continuity of service. -Promotes accountability and diligence among CBRE Commercial Refrigeration Technicians and third-party technicians by ensuring their work is subject to review. -Contribute to new products, processes, standards, and/or operational plans in support of achieving functional goals. -Showcase expertise in own job discipline and in-depth knowledge of other job disciplines within the organization function.

What You Bring

-Highly sophisticated math skills. Ability to calculate somewhat complex figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations. -Prior shift manager or supervisory experience preferred. -Communicate difficult and complex ideas with the ability to influence. -The innovative mentality to develop methods that go beyond existing solutions. -ODP Certificate – Ozone Depletion Certificate -Valid driver’s license. -Ability to solve unique problems using standard and innovative solutions having a broad impact on the business. -Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic – the individual must possess a Journeyman Certificate or Individuals holding a recognized trade credential from another Canadian province or territory (313A or Red Deal Endorsements) with 5-8 years of job-related experience. -Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more. -Expert organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset. -In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. -CO2 commercial refrigeration system experience required -Gas Technician (G1), Gasfitter A (Class A)
