The Role
Overview
Support development and delivery of enforcement strategy, policies and tools across the EA.

Tasks
-Work with the team to support our senior leaders to identify and make strategic decisions related to enforcement. Make use of engagement and communication opportunities. -Support cross-cutting responses related to Enforcement, for example responses to Defra requests, developments, communications and inputs to reviews. -Work with Enforcement Resilience Colleagues to evaluate and report on performance and develop ideas for future KPI needs. -Initially work as part of the Water Industry Enforcement and Special Measures Programme team to deliver key products and actions needed to embed an intelligence led approach to enforcement in the sector, and to support the development of key enforcement policy and processes. -Work to support the Enforcement Systems Review to improve how we do enforcement across all parts of the business, working in partnership with Ops Portfolios, Legal and NECU to address business improvement needs.

What You Bring
-An ability to respond to tight deadlines, prioritise, and work quickly and accurately to ensure tasks and actions are completed. -An understanding of regulation and enforcement would be useful with a drive to work in this sector. -Experience working in a fast-paced environment. Enforcement is an organisational and political priority, and things can change at pace. -Good communication and influencing skills – you’ll be able to present complex information clearly and succinctly to enable decisions to be made. -An ability to work effectively with people from a variety of backgrounds and cultures and actively encourage others to consider diversity issues in their work. -An ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with dispersed customers internally and externally.
