Senior Project Manager (Transport)

Overview

Manage transport infrastructure projects from planning through design to construction.

Tasks

-Liaise with and coordinate project delivery with the leads of the various technical delivery teams. -Ensure RPS quality and management procedures are complied with. -Maintain a safe working environment for staff under your control. -Identify project risks and deviations from programme or budget and prepare plans for mitigations. -Build trusting relationships with our Clients. -Establish project objectives and develop project plans, budget and schedule in compliance with RPS procedures. -Monitor the progress of projects and provide regular performance reports on completion status, programme and finances.

What You Bring

-Experienced in the design of Transport projects (technical skills are an advantage). -Demonstrated ability to create a team culture of camaraderie, integrity and trust, among multination and multicultural teams. -Strong communication and presentation skills. -Proven ability to monitor and handle multiple projects at the same time, balance key priorities and meet challenging and changing deadlines. -Strong financial management and budgetary control skills -Strong track record in liaising with Clients and working with them to achieve the required solutions. -Track record of experience as Project Manager in Transport or related projects. -Experience in delivery of sustainable transport - Rail, Active Travel, Greenways and advantage -Substantial experience across planning, design and/or construction phases. -Strong people management skills -Strong organization, prioritization, and time management skills. -Strong programming and resource management skills (including use of Microsoft Project, Primavera P6 or similar) -High resilience, proactive problem-solving skills, and strong negotiation skills
