Tasks

-Collaborate with internal departments such as legal, finance, and project management to align acquisition strategies with project timelines and budgets. -Build and maintain relationships with landowners, community leaders, government agencies, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth land acquisition and development processes. -Lead and mentor a team of land acquisition professionals, providing guidance and support to achieve departmental objectives. -Represent the company in public forums and negotiations, ensuring alignment with project timelines and resource allocation. -Liaise with local authorities to facilitate smooth acquisition processes and resolve any disputes or issues. -Develop and implement comprehensive land acquisition strategies to support organizational growth and project objectives. -Ensure compliance with local, state, and national laws, including the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013. -Monitor and report on land acquisition progress and outcomes, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. -Identify and evaluate potential land opportunities through market research, networking, and relationship building with landowners, brokers, and other industry professionals. -Prepare and present regular reports on land acquisition progress, challenges, and opportunities to senior management. -Negotiate purchase agreements and contracts with landowners, brokers, and government entities to acquire suitable properties for development or investment purposes. -Coordinate with legal teams to ensure all necessary legal documentation is completed accurately and efficiently. -Identify and mitigate risks associated with land acquisition, including legal, financial, and environmental risks. -Conduct thorough due diligence on potential land parcels, including zoning regulations, environmental assessments, and any other relevant factors.
