Tasks

-Support the Commercial team with supplier procurement and performance management, fostering a resilient, high quality and cost- effective maintenance supply chain. -Manage the end-to-end delivery of the annual maintenance programme within your area, ensuring activities are completed on time and within budget. -Continuously improve driver standards to meet key BB reporting metrics. -Support the Reactive Maintenance Lead with the timely and efficient completion of Cat 2.1 repairs by providing resources and identifying works co-ordination opportunities. -Ensure team members are well-equipped for their roles by monitoring and implementing all necessary training. -Identify opportunities for site sharing to enable efficient delivery of our service. -Work closely with the Roadspace/Scheduling Hub to monitor roadspace status, aiming to keep the programme on track with minimal changes and address issues as they arise. -Define clear work requirements for each maintenance site to manage network risks. -Manage and develop a high performing team, providing clarity of responsibilities, monitoring performance, and supporting growth and development. -Ensure adequate supervision is in place for all works activities and oversee the availability and efficient management of internal resources for these activities. -Ensure accurate data entry into the maintenance management system and provide network knowledge to support in shaping the annual maintenance plan. -Participate in on-call rotas for Silver Command and Winter Maintenance as required. -Actively monitor vehicle utilisation and oversee the management of the vehicle fleet to ensure efficient use and maximisation of availability.

What You Bring

-Strong leadership skills and experience driving performance and productivity. -Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. -Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. -Ability to adapt to and manage change, leading teams through operational adjustments and ensuring smooth transitions. -SMSTS qualification. -Experience in the delivery of highways maintenance operations or similar transferable experience -Appropriate CSCS qualification.
