Conduct field surveys and make‑ready evaluations for utility pole attachments.

Tasks

-Analyze work site and design requests then determine scope of work to be completed -Adhere to all company safety practices and policies -OSP Fielder will complete site visits within given market -Dress appropriately and meet safety standards while on-site -Deliver projects within timeline and ensure quality of work completed -Collaborate with in-house MRE Engineering Team to implement quality assurance practices to maintain consistent production quality throughout the project -Work schedule to match hours of our customer and meet deadlines. -Interact with internal and external customers- represent Byers/MasTec and our client in a professional manner -Take legible field notes for the design of construction drawings in aerial, buried, underground, and building applications -Follow very specific and detailed procedures already implemented while remaining flexible enough to readily adapt to changing standards and procedures without notice

What You Bring

-General understanding of joint use agreements and joint use management software such as NJUNS, SPAN, ALDEN ONE, etc. -Must be authorized to work in the U.S. -Knowledge of engineering tools including AutoCAD, PRS, OCalc, 3-GIS, or any similar GIS/KMZ platforms. -Above average penmanship for hand-drawn field notes -Relevant experience with utilities, cabling, or construction also considered -Understanding of Telecom, Fiber, and Outside Plant required -Must be local as this role requires outdoor site visits in various weather conditions -Knowledge of computer programs (Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point, and Dropbox) -Excellent communication for daily interaction with various teams -High school diploma and completed courses from technical school or community college preferred, but not required -Willing to be trained and adapt to changing industry trends- continue education for Engineering design and best practices -Qualify on pre-employment screening, including non-negligent driving record -Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
