Engineering Designer II - Civil/Site Land Development

Tasks

-Assist Project Engineers and leaders as needed in the creation of designs. -Evaluate, select and apply standard engineering techniques and procedures, using own judgement to make adaptations and modifications to existing designs. -Work with senior engineers to create project designs. -Research design options and document findings for project manager. -Perform QA/QC by verifying design methodology, calculations, outcomes, etc. -Ensure designs are in accordance with company and client production and design standards. -Develop drawings by modifying or replicating a prior project, applying changes and corrections from redlined drawings, and/or creating drawings from sketches of others or from own design. -Conduct field inspections and surveys, investigate variables, obtain measurements, photographs, videos, and take notes; write reports documenting same. -Research and apply code provisions to design. -Perform engineering calculations and create estimates. -Interpret and understand drawings from multiple disciplines for specific projects and respond to requests for information regarding same.

What You Bring

-Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or related field). -Ability to read, write and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions. -Attention to detail. -Valid driver’s license preferred. -Utilize Autocad Civil 3D on a daily basis. -Strong Microsoft Office skills. -Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D. -Engineer in Training preferred. -2-4+ years of related experience. -Land Development project experience is a plus. -Interest in Civil/Site Engineering projects; prior experience preferred but not required. -Strong CAD skills, including AutoCAD, Civil 3D, HydroCAD, and WaterCAD.
