Technical Manager

Description

The Technical Manager will be responsible for leading and managing the coordination of all technical aspects of villa projects, ensuring seamless integration between Architectural, Structural, MEP, and Interior Design disciplines. The role also involves direct coordination with specialist vendors such as kitchen, façade glazing, joinery, lighting, and home automation suppliers. The Technical Manager will oversee the review of shop drawings, ensure compliance with design intent and standards, and manage the overall project technical program to achieve timely and quality delivery.

• Conduct regular technical coordination meetings with consultants, contractors, and specialist suppliers to resolve design issues and maintain workflow.
• Joinery manufacturers for custom furniture, and millwork detailing.
• Ensure compliance with local authority requirements, international standards, and project-specific specifications.
• Façade and glazing specialists for detailed design, interfaces, and material compliance.
• Review, comment, and approve shop drawings, coordination drawings, and as-built submissions ensuring alignment with design intent and project specifications.
• Supervise and mentor the technical coordination team to ensure quality, consistency, and adherence to project goals.
• Maintain accurate technical reports, progress documentation, and risk assessments for management review.
• Coordinate with specialist vendors and consultants such as:
• Collaborate with procurement and construction teams to ensure all materials and systems are technically approved and coordinated before execution.
• Lighting consultants and suppliers for technical layouts, controls, and fixture coordination.
• Provide technical solutions to resolve site and design conflicts during construction and fit-out stages.
• Manage the overall project technical program, ensuring that all deliverables and coordination milestones are met within the planned timelines.
• Lead and coordinate all technical disciplines including Architectural, Structural, MEP, and Interior Design teams to maintain consistency and integration across all project stages.

Requirements

• Minimum 8–12 years of experience in technical management and coordination of villa or high-end residential projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or Building Services Engineering (or related field).
• Excellent understanding of shop drawing review, design detailing, and construction coordination.
• Home automation specialists for integration with lighting, HVAC, and AV systems.
• Proven experience in coordinating with kitchen, façade, joinery, lighting, and home automation vendors.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and project coordination software.
• Familiarity with local building codes, international design standards, and quality control procedures.
• Strong multidisciplinary knowledge covering architecture, structure, MEP, interior fit-out, and specialist systems.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
