Tasks

-Interpret contract documents and ensure compliance -Liaise with the contractor, client and Municipal officials on project updates and progress, including preparation and issuance of project reports -Review, provide recommendations on, and resolve Contract Change Requests and Claims while managing change management processes -Provide conflict resolution and field solutions with respect to unforeseen construction issues -Manage responses to Requests for Information -Manage the measurement of construction progress and the preparation of payment certificates -Lead construction progress meetings and prepare minutes

What You Bring

-Familiarity with relevant environmental regulations, municipal approvals and local by-laws -Familiarity with current traffic control regulations -MTO Class ‘G’ driver’s license in good standing and access to a personnel vehicle -Demonstrate skills in the use of computer utilizing programs such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project, Outlook) -Possess working knowledge of the Occupation Health and Safety Act and its Regulations, and Ontario Provincial Standards and Specifications (OPSS) for Municipal projects -Five years contract administration or relevant experience in construction/reconstruction of wastewater infrastructure including wastewater treatment -Effective communicator possessing demonstrated skills in dealing with other staff, contractors, and the public, with matters arising from construction projects -Positive attitude with good leadership, communication and interpersonal skills -Experience in project planning, risk management, cost management, schedule management and preparation/administration of contract documents and specifications -A thorough knowledge of construction and contracting principles, methods, procedures, and practices including contract administration relating to changes, claims and delays -Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications -Licensed member of the Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO) or Certified Civil Engineering Technologist (C.E.T.) would be considered an asset -Ability to work both independently and cooperatively as part of a team
