Tasks

The purpose of the role is to support the Engineering team to provide a practical and cost effective adoption engineering service for the regional business. This role involves close liaison with the Local Authority, Highway Authorities, Property Management companies and external consultants. -Ensuring the co-ordination and management of ongoing maintenance issues and remedial works prior to adoption or handover is dealt with professionally and to the highest standards whilst protecting the business interests -Managing the transfer of open spaces, play areas etc to Management Companies is swift and accurate and in line with company policy to enhance and build partnered relationships -Producing cost effective technical information regarding sewer adoptions (S104, S106) whilst overcoming specific issues and finding efficient solutions for the region to maintain building -Ensure the processing of all road and sewer adoption agreements are in time and accurate to maintain the regions level of compliance and responsibility -On occasion to deputise for the Senior Adoptions Engineer to provide support and assistance to the team -Liaising closely with the Local Authorities regarding technical information for road adoptions (S38 and S278) and manage this effectively maintain the companies interest at all times

What You Bring

-An eye for detail and be able to work on their own initiative as well as being a committed team player -Ideally HNC/HND qualified (or studying towards) in an Engineering Related Qualification -Demonstrate good communication skills -Previous experience as an Adoptions Engineer or with a Highways or Drainage Authority -Competent in AutoCAD, Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel packages
