Tasks

Reporting to the Vice President, ADSS, you will act as a strategic and operational leader responsible for driving HSSE excellence across the division. You’ll lead a team of passionate HSSE professionals, ensuring KBR’s Zero Harm culture is consistently embedded across all projects and programs. You will partner closely with the Defence and Technology Solutions International HSSE Director, recognising the shared accountability between global HSSE functions and our local operations in Australia. -Manage risk proactively: Lead risk assessments, maintain compliance with WHS legislation and ISO standards, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. -Lead strategically: Develop and execute a divisional HSSE strategy aligned with KBR’s global standards and Defence client expectations. -Engage stakeholders: Be the trusted HSSE liaison for clients, regulators, and industry partners, representing KBR in key forums. -Inspire your team: Mentor and develop HSSE professionals across sites, fostering collaboration and high performance. -Drive operational excellence: Oversee compliance across projects, lead investigations, and continuously evolve systems and training programs.

What You Bring

We are seeking a highly experienced and visionary HSSE Senior Manager to join our Australia Defence Systems & Solutions (ADSS) division. This is an influential leadership role that shapes the culture, performance and direction of Health, Safety, Security and Environment (HSSE) across one of KBR’s most dynamic business areas. Belong, Connect and Grow at KBR You are a seasoned HSSE leader with a proven track record of success in complex, multi-site environments - ideally within the Defence sector. You have a passion for safety leadership, a deep understanding of WHS and ISO frameworks and the ability to engage confidently at all organisational levels. KBR in Australia Please note. Only candidates who are eligible to hold an AGSVA security clearance will be shortlisted. -A degree in HSSE or a related field -10+ years’ experience in HSSE leadership roles -Eligibility to obtain and maintain an Australian Government security clearance -Expertise in HSSE compliance, risk management and cultural transformation -Demonstrated ability to lead change and coach emerging leaders -Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
