Tasks

-Travel to customer sites to troubleshoot or make repairs as needed -Assist in the training of lower-level mechanics as needed -Participate in the on-call rotation as needed. -Demonstrate pipe and hose assembly methods for safe and secure assembly -Inspect, examine, and test pumps using pressure gauge, hydrostatic testing, observation, or other methods. -Can identify needs for spill protection, cribbing and safety barriers/warnings -Complete paperwork/electronic documents as required by management. -Load, secure, deliver, unload, and install pumps for customers.

What You Bring

-Able to work flexible schedule including evenings and weekends. -Understands the relationship between engine RPM, pressure, and volume from the pump curve on Centrifugal Pump -Ability to perform diagnosis and repair of pump ends and priming systems. -Able to demonstrates knowledge of up to five skills required for branch specific work -knowledge and understanding of pipe fittings and flanges and be able to identify different types and sizes used at RFR. -Ability to properly diagnose and repair trailer issues, including trailer electrical, wheels, tires, and bearings. -Understands the relationship between engine RPM, pressure, and volume from the pump curve -Demonstrate correct positioning, suction and discharge assembly, suction screening, valves, LOTO, nurse tank and power supply -Able to use a calculator, cellular telephone, and tape measure/ruler. -Ability to perform a full inspection on a pump independently, not including a specialty pump. -Able to read a map, plan routes, and calculate distances. -Understand the relationship between work orders and branch metrics -Must be Motivated, Team player, Safety-Oriented, and have a Customer Service orientation -Ability to troubleshoot for priming and performance issues on Centrifugal Pump System -Ability to perform diagnosis and repair of pump electrical systems, starters, alternators, wiring harnesses.
