The Role
Overview
Maintain client safety and support treatment goals in a residential behavioral health setting.

Tasks
-Observe and document client head count in Bed Check log -Will be assigned as Mentor for new BHS staff -Document daily client activity in milieu progress notes -Observe and accurately document assistance in the self-administration of medications for clients -Support and actively engage in practices of inclusion through Cultural and Linguistically Appropriate Services (CLAS) -Transport clients to community appointments or outings in NAC agency vehicle as needed -Collaborate with the clinical team to support and assist clients in the achievement of their individual service plan goals -Responsible for the safety and security of clients in a residential treatment setting -Facilitate psychoeducational and life skills groups as assigned by supervisor -Monitor and respond to video surveillance, ensuring safety for clients -Attend and participate in regular clinical staffing meetings and clinical oversight -Assist in maintaining a safe, recovery-oriented therapeutic environment -Provide intervention and support including listening, redirection, and guidance -Assign and monitor client life skills and light housekeeping duties daily -Will lead/assist with new client orientation to facility -Document and submit incident reports in a timely manner -Scan documents into individual client electronic medical records as needed -Accompany and support clients during community 12 Step meetings, recreational activities, and cultural community activities

What You Bring
-Valid Fingerprint Clearance Card required. -Must be able to work well with others in a team approach. -CPR/First Aid Certificate within 90 days of hire -Communicate verbal and written shift change reports -AA Degree OR -1 -2 years of experience working with behavioral health or substance abuse clients preferred -Negotiate stairs and carry up to 50 lbs. Must be able to stand for long periods of time. -Must demonstrate critical thinking, problem- solving and organizational and time management skills. -Excellent customer service skills. -2 -3 years of experience working with behavioral health or substance abuse clients -MS Office proficiency -Able to sit, stand and walk with/without accommodations. -Demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills. -High School Diploma or GED required -BHT Certification -Proficiency in learning Electronic Health Record -Possess and maintain a valid Arizona driver’s license -3 or more years of employment with Native American Connections as a BHS -Must understand the recovery process of the chemically dependent individual -Bilingual- Spanish desired -Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to work effectively with a wide range of people, teams, managers, supervisors, and vendors. -Experience in working with the Native American population preferred
