The Role

Overview

Support workers help homeless individuals secure housing and provide emotional guidance.

Tasks

-Maintain accurate records using internal systems -Uphold safeguarding responsibilities and respond to health and safety concerns -Develop and review support plans and risk assessments -Support referrals in securing permanent accommodation -Liaise with Nottingham City Council and other local agencies -Manage your own caseload with professionalism and empathy -Refer clients to housing associations and private rental options -Register individuals with social housing providers

What You Bring

-Strong time management and organisational skills -Resilience and the ability to manage pressure effectively -Basic IT skills and ability to maintain accurate records -Empathetic and caring approach to client relationships -Work flexibly, including weekends and bank holidays, as part of a rota -Experience in housing, social care, or support work (preferred but not essential) -Understanding of professional boundaries and confidentiality
