Plant Maintenance - 2nd shift

Overview

Maintain and repair quarry processing equipment on 2nd shift.

Tasks

-Maintain work area in a clean, organized, and safe fashion -Inspect, check and maintain lubrication levels in equipment used -Conduct a complete pre-and post-shift safety inspection -Communicate with plant management on all safety and maintenance needs -Report unsafe conditions, accidents, or incidents immediately to the Lead person or Manager -Observe all safety precautions and rules specified by federal, state, and company regulations

What You Bring

-Language Skills – Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write short messages and conduct one on one and small group conversations for information sharing. Primary language – English. -Ability to lift 50 lbs., walk, stand, sit, stoop, kneel, crawl, climb and descend ladders and stairs. Work in cramped confined spaces. -A high school diploma required -3-5years of experience in mining or heavy construction environment required. -Safety oriented individual with a good safety record. -Ability to perform high levels of maintenance and servicing on a plant with little assistance -Mathematical Skills – Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide using Imperial units of measure. -3-5 years of experience working on equipment maintenance is highly preferred. -Ability to work in confined and small spaces -Need to have own tools for repair work -Ability to diagnose and adjust equipment for optimum performance -Ability to safely and efficiently operate front end loader, skid steer, man-lift -Must have welding and torch skills -Ability to troubleshoot and repair hydraulic systems and centrifugal/ vertical pumps a plus. -Knowledge of safety rules and regulations, OSHA and MSHA
