The Role

Overview

Promote IKO commercial roofing/products, train contractors, travel BC region

Key Responsibilities

Tasks

-Liaise with the contracting community and distribution network on product promotion and theory education. -Perform quality assurance reviews of ongoing and completed sites -Attend and participate in related association events to promote IKO Commercial products. -Prepare and conduct both theory and hands-on training utilizing IKO Roofing and Building Envelope Products -Develop and manage personal relationships with key product consumers and decision makers in assigned market. -Identify, qualify, create demand, and pursue opportunities at assigned and prospective new accounts. -Liaise with contractors and distributors to ensure IKO products are utilized on upcoming projects.

What You Bring

-Communication and technical confidence. Your written and verbal presentations skills are outstanding. You can confidently reach out to and work with a range of clients in the design and construction industry as well as contractors, presenting the benefits of our commercial roofing and building envelope products. You have experience using MS Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint. CRM experience is an asset. -Motivation, passion and flexibility. You are driven for growth and are resilient by nature. You are extremely comfortable climbing up a ladder, demonstrating product application and leading hands-on training. You are passionate about quality and can effectively manage multiple tasks while working independently by means of strong organization and prioritization. You are equally dedicated to product education as you are to shaking hands and building relationships. You use critical thinking to create opportunity where others can’t see it and are seen as a problem solver by your peers. You have a valid driver’s license and can travel throughout your designated territory. -RRSP Match -Additional assets. Previous experience with roofing and building envelope is beneficial. -Direct industry knowledge. You have several years of hands-on experience in commercial roofing and/or building envelope including exposure to our roofing and building envelope products. Formal training as a journeyman or roofer and/or an industry related diploma is an asset.
