Creates complex civil engineering drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D for public works projects.

Tasks

-Perform non-routine and complex CAD drafting assignments from verbal instructions with minimal supervision -Use Civil3D, create detailed designs of paving, grading, drainage, utilities and general site development -Generate quantities for engineer’s estimates -Work independently to produce drawing sets, exhibits, calculations, and other required files which are checked by an engineer and Design Manager

What You Bring

-Technical knowledge of CAD operations and engineering specialty discipline -Minimum of high school or technical school training with courses in computer-aided drafting or equivalent experience -Effective interpersonal skills with coworkers -5+ years’ experience in AutoCAD Civil 3D -Must be flexible to changes in work assignments on short notice and/or on a daily basis as changes occur in project needs -Understand and accurately implementing technical design requirements and specifications required by various clients -Effective communication skills both oral and written -Ability to build strong relationships
