The Role

Overview

Inspect and ensure quality of purchased aluminum castings, supporting suppliers and corrective actions

Tasks

-Support operations by interfacing with suppliers to drive corrective action through DMRs to get full root cause analysis, determination of permanent corrective actions, and implementation and follow-up of corrective actions. -Support response to customer requested corrective action and support of customers regarding purchased materials. -Support operations through timely disposition of supplier related nonconforming materials found during manufacturing and requiring corrective actions to avoid recurrence. -Perform Supplier audits as necessary in accordance with Eaton’s requirements to approve new suppliers and help monitor existing suppliers. -Maintain accurate records to comply with company and customer record retention requirements. -Maintain accurate records to comply with company and customer record retention requirements -Drive reductions in Defective Parts Per Million (DPPM), Scrap and improvement in First Pass Yield (FPY) of purchased products. -Report on supplier performance. Provide information to Quality Management in a professional and timely manner. -Perform inspection of purchased castings at Eaton receiving inspection or supplier source inspection.

What You Bring

-Aerospace Quality Management experience -Bachelor’s degree in engineering -Familiarity with castings and processes and machining of castings preferably aluminum -Understanding of GD&T application in casting and machining processes -Associate degree from an accredited institution OR five (5) years' experience in sand castings (aluminum) and inspection. -Eaton Euclid’s castings are 20-40 lbs. -Minimum one (1) year of work experience in a foundry/aluminum casting environment or providing quality oversight at foundries or casting machine shops. -Familiarity with special processes, particularly FPI and NDT used at foundries -This position requires access to export-controlled information. To conform to U.S. Government export regulations applicable to that information, applicant must be a U.S. person, defined as a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (green card holder), (iii) refugee under 8 U.S.C. 1157, or (iv) asylee under 8 U.S.C. 1158. -Experience with FAI Reviews and Approvals -Five (5) years of experience in a foundry/metal casting environment or providing quality oversight at foundries or casting machine shops

Benefits

-No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within 50 miles of the Euclid, OH facility will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation
