Commercial Roofing Assistant Superintendent

Overview

Supervises commercial roofing crews, installs roofs, ensures safety and quality.

Tasks

-Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work site -Assisting the production crew with laying out material as needed -Install roofing insulation, substrate boards, cover boards, and membrane -Conduct material inventory counts as required -Maintenance of roofing equipment and tools -Responsibility for quality control and performing regular quality control inspections -Assist with the planning and execution of the following: -Participating in continuous improvement initiatives -Rotating (1) weekend per month On-Call Schedule -Complete the initial safety and technical training onboarding -Complete various flashing details to ensure a water-tight roofing system -Loading and unloading roofing material and equipment -Demolition and removal of existing roofing material

What You Bring

-Minimum 3 Years in the roofing industry working in a production or service environment -Ability to install the following Roofing Systems; -BASIC COMPUTER LITERACY REQUIRED -Consistent & Reliable Timeliness & Attendance -Pass the 90-day introductory period -TPO, PVC, Modified Bitumen -Gutters, Downspouts, Fascia, Coping, Drip Edge, etc -Previous experience installing Metal Accessories -Must be trustworthy and willing to work for periods unsupervised -Clear a National, State, and Local Background Check -Excellent communicator, both oral and written- Customer Service skill set -3-Year Motor Vehicle Record meeting standards to drive company vehicles. (If hired as a driver) -Be prepared to discuss jobs worked on, systems installed, & your role in the process -Fully Adhered, Mechanically Attached, Rhinobond, etc -Willingness to learn from other technicians & direct supervisors -Previous experience with a Mobile Clock In / Clock Out System -Learning the basic technical details of various roof systems -Candidates must pass a pre-employment drug screen & -Ability to operate mobile technology systems & programs
