Tasks

Currently, they are looking to add an Assistant Billing Manager to their US Revenue team. This role is an add to staff and will work closely with the Billing Manager, Associate Director and Senior Director of Revenue. Overseeing a staff of 6-7 Billing professionals, the Assistant Billing Manager will be responsible for delivering timely and accurate client invoicing, ensuring compliance with firm policies and client requirements. -Collaborate closely with Finance teams-including Collections, Accounts Payable, and E-Billing-to streamline workflows and resolve discrepancies. -Identify and implement process enhancements to improve efficiency and reduce internal cycle times. -Lead day-to-day billing operations, including reviewing edits, issuing invoices, and managing reporting deliverables. -Conduct annual performance reviews, identify development opportunities, and provide mentorship to strengthen team capabilities. -Serve as a point of contact for billing inquiries from both internal stakeholders and external clients. -Allocate team resources strategically to maintain service excellence, providing guidance and coverage when needed. -Ensure adherence to client billing guidelines, negotiated rates, and e-billing standards, resolving issues proactively. -Partner with Collections to address unallocated cash and other billing-related matters that impact revenue recognition. -Monitor billing and e-billing metrics to ensure accuracy and timeliness of all deliverables. -Maintain updated client billing instructions and support onboarding of new billing staff. -Manage workload distribution and oversee complex billing projects, offering expertise on unique fee arrangements and client terms.

What You Bring

-High volume / large law firm billing experience -Experience managing, training and mentoring staff -Experience with eBilling Hub or BillBlast - and ability to manage ebilling processes -5+ years of Legal Billing experience -Direct supervisory / management experience of legal billing personnel -Excellent communication, attention to detail and ability to multitask -Strong Excel & Reporting skills -Bachelor's Degree is preferred -Experience with 3E is preferred (open to Aderant)
